Jersey Velours (1969-1975)

It is the most common material for the seats of all DS, especially in Italy where it was offered as standard for all versions. It took over from the more robust Jersey Rhovyline in 1969, when Citroen, probably to reduce costs, decided to abandon the unique supplier and use similar materials available on the market. Visually, Jersey Velours does not seem very different from its predecessor, but it is softer and thinner, so the seat is more comfortable and enveloping. The version for DS Pallas since 1970 is called "Rayè mixte" : this because the central part is two-tone. Since 1974 the color has become unique again but the central part has a relief motif. Unfortunately, the resistance of Jersey Velours to sunlight and heat is not as expected and - especially for darker colors - in the DS left outdoors every day (such as those of those who used them to go to work) the fabric discolored in a few years, in certain cases  conspicuous tears appeared. Since the material itself is delicate, even for today's reproductions we recommend covering the parts most exposed to light, having to leave the car parked in full sun for hours.

The section is now completely renewed and offers you the possibility to choose among the best producers we have selected for you. Since now the range of types and colors is very wide, we give you the possibility to order any combination and the manufacturer will prepare or produce it for you in a reasonable time. We also offer an innovative service (for the moment being tested) thanks to which several artisans we have trained will prepare door panels that fully conform to originals starting from your old ones. Obviously, when buying a complete interior you are invited to choose elements from the same supplier in order not to have differences between the colors. We are available for any kind of advice.
